when parties cannot agree…

On important issues like parenting time, decision making, or relocation, a Child and Family Investigator (CFI) may be appointed by the court. A CFI’s job is to conduct an investigation and write a report for the court in which they make recommendations on what they believe is in the children’s best interest based on the relevant statutes.

A CFI investigation includes individual interviews with children in each home, each parent, and collateral witnesses such as family members, teachers, and therapists.

My fee for CFI services is $2750 for the investigation and written report. Please keep in mind that court preparation and testimony is an additional fee.
